OpEd: Snooki & JWOWW Make a Stupid Prank Call

MTV is touting the hilarity of a prank call by Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Nicole “JWoww” Farley.

In the call, featured on a recent episode of the fourth season of their reality show Snooki & Jwoww, they basically laugh while making reservations for etiquette classes.  The focus of their prank is the fake name “Esther McFarley”.

I fail to see the hilarity of this.  Ok yeah, it’s a silly sounding name if you’re in on the joke, but the lady on the line isn’t.  Snooki was actually on-point trying to get Jwoww to just curse a lot but was not taken up on the suggestion.

This is what MTV calls the “Call to End All Calls” and a “Hilarious Prank Call“?

What do you think?  I say its a piece of fucking shit in the ass.  But what else do you expect from MTV and these two bimbos?

Video Game Inspires 500+ Prank Calls a Day to Pizzeria

freddy-fazbearAn Illinois pizzeria is receiving a crippling number of prank phone calls as a result of an indie video game.  Freddy’s Pizza in Cicero, IL shares an unfortunate name with the main setting of a game now publicly available on Steam and mobile.  Five Night’s at Freddy’s, a point and click horror survival game, features a fictional pizza shop by the name of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.  Callers have been inundating the business with pranks as a result.

A statement posted on the restaurant’s official website implores: “Just so that it is clear, Freddy’s Pizza in Cicero, Illinois has nothing to do with Five Nights at Freddy’s or Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza”.

The restaurant management claims to have had their entire phone ordering business derailed as a result of the 500 or so calls a day they are receiving about the fictional eatery.

The store has also contacted Google requesting the release of names of YouTubers who have posted five or more prank calls to Freddy’s in their channels.

Pranksgiving a Resounding Success

turkeyOur annual Pranksgiving 24-hour prank call marathon was a record breaking success for the PCN network!  There were many awesome prank calls, we broke listener records across the board and a fun time was had by all – hosts and listeners alike.

If you missed any part of the marathon you can grab all the episodes right here.

Most importantly we met our $500 goal for the annual PCN Saves Christmas drive within hours!  The network has adopted a family in need via the United Way for the holiday season.  PCN fans and listeners generously donated to our campaign drive and we are proud to announce we will be giving a family in need a very special (and sorely needed) Christmas.  Remember you can still donate at prankcallnation.com/fundraising for the next two weeks.

Thanks to all the hosts and admins who worked hard to entertain and keep the ball rolling this year and thanks to all the listeners who participated, gave us numbers and donated to this year’s charity drive!

Nigerian Man Prank Calls Ebola Threat to Airline Over Failed Marriage Proposal

ebola-virus-should-you-panic-airport-ftr-1024x640“An actor and blogger, Chris Bassey has been picked up by men of the Enugu State Command of the Nigerian Police Force after placing a phone call to either prank or humiliate his ex-girlfriend.

What was supposed to be an expensive joke became more than Bassey bargained for, after he prank called Arik Airlines and told them a passenger on the outgoing flight to Lagos from Enugu was infected with the dreaded Ebola Virus Disease.

The passenger turned out to be Mr. Bassey’s ex-girlfriend and he had threatened her before hand that he would pull the stunt if she refused his marriage proposal.

Turns out she wasn’t feeling his game and turned down the proposal. At this point, Mr. Bassey reportedly turned up and in order to show her, placed the call.” Click HERE for full story.
